Okay - the first picture here is someone we met whilst picking up our dinner at the gas station in Valdez at 1am. Yes, we dined rather late. Interesting to meet my twin so far far away from here. He was wearing the exact same shirt I bought last week, has the same riding jacket and rides the exact motorcycle.

Back in the USA!

So we got off the biat

And rode into our first swarm of Mosquitos in Skagway. The skeeters disappeared and then it got foggy, fog the consistency of Crisco. And then it rained, and then it hailed. All within 30 minutes of landing.

Popular place, one cruise ship ahead of us, two cruise ships behind us. Let's dock thus boat, I want off. Maybe I'm doing cruising wrong, but I didn't especially enjoy the 36 hour cruise from Prince Rupert.

Camping in Prince George.

390 miles today, the highway and grade up from Pemberton was awesome. Passed the same HHR and Uhaul caravan five times today, the HHR driver only flipped me off on the first pass, after we saw her again she seemed to settle down.

Penalty for the Alaska adventure bike Challenge = $3 or + 3 points. Beats using papers towels or the hand dryer after my shower. Glad to take the penalty.

Glamping

Days 1 and 2 took us thru Whistler, Quesnel, and Prince George.  We spent our first night in luxury accommodations in the Whistler village, and tonight finds us in a campground just outside of Prince George.  $25 gets you free firewood, wifi, a nice campsite and access to hot showers.  Not too shabby!   Tonight's dinner is apples, cheese, salami, and beer and its goddamn delicious! (dad picked up some gas-station sushi, no thanks.)

Total miles so far: 583, only a few thousand to go!  Net stop: Hyder, AK.
